Whoever says Las Vegas doesn’t have culture either never stepped outside their side of town, was comparing it to another city that’s been around twice as long as Vegas, or is simply just another bitter local. From its history to the social norms, this place is truly unlike any other city.
My favorite part of witnessing the growth of Vegas culture is experiencing the emerging music scene. From all waves of hip-hop to indie rock to beat music and everything in between or impossible to box in one genre, Las Vegas holds so much raw and underground talent. It’s as if it was the city’s best-kept secret. People will literally pop out of nowhere and I’ll be wondering how I haven’t heard of them before or how they ended up in this strange desert city.
