YOUR ONLINE ACID TRIP – Exploring self, society & psychedelics
BiD is a creative platform that explores the multitude of the psychedelic experience: artistic, healing, academic, spiritual and… fun as fuck. Notice how you can replace the word “psychedelic” with “human” and it still makes sense? We believe a meaningful life is inherently psychedelic.
The etymology of “psychedelic” comprises the Greek root, “delos” which means to make clear or manifest, and “psyche” comes from the Greek root “psykhe,” which means the mind, soul or spirit. To live a psychedelic life is to manifest the mind. With or without drugs, our main message will always center the power of creativity and the expression of the soul.
Psychedelics are a tool, but only we can be the healer, the artist and the maker of our reality. Our essence is the substance beyond the substance. Who are we without the drugs? Who are we with them? This is simply a moment for reflection, not judgment. Take only what you need and leave the rest. More often than not, it’s better in doses.
REVOLUTION CALLS
We carry the spirit of 1960s counterculture. Marked by the height of the Civil Rights Movement, war protests, psychedelic explorations in art, music and academia, and a generation of young minds seeking change, peace and justice – revolution was the only answer. Today, we face the same problems that stem from white supremacy and systems of oppression. Injustice is weaved so seamlessly into the system, if you’re not looking closely or questioning authority enough, our society remains doomed to repeat its historical contexts of corruption.
Art, knowledge and the proactive discussion of ideas serve as modalities for revolution. Our content will always challenge and connect ideas that aim to make us more aware and empathetic beings. They say the revolution will not be televised because it begins in the mind. If not a global revolution, may we have a revolution of consciousness. Do you know how powerful a free mind can be? We may not have the answers or solutions for society, but we aim to ask questions that spark connection to our highest self and our community, as we fight towards collective liberation.
Although 1960s American counterculture catalyzed the creation of BID, we acknowledge that psychedelic plant medicines are rooted in many indigenous cultures and rituals dating back millennia. This platform’s exploration includes learning and highlighting perspectives beyond our narrow Western lens of psychedelic culture, spirituality, and philosophy. It’s essential that we decolonize our minds as part of the journey towards consciousness revolution.

Fret not, comrade, the world can feel heavy but don’t forget we’re here to have fun too. In the words of Ram Dass, “You can do it like it’s like a great weight on you or you can do it like it’s part of the dance.” For every struggle there’s beauty. We hope to remind you–even in depths of darkness, you’re not alone. If life is a dance with death, will you remember to enjoy the music? To sacred practices and learning from the past, to doing the dance and being here now. We are grateful you’re here to explore with us.
ABOUT OUR FOUNDER
BiD is owned and operated by first-generation Filipino American, Roxanne Roncal. Can I talk in first person now? Cool. My first psychedelic experience was in the summer of 2009, when I took LSD with my parents and two older brothers. Hopefully that gives insight into my baseline for “normal.” I founded BiD during college in 2016, when I was studying Entrepreneurship at UNLV and working as a Business Counselor for Nevada SBDC, specializing in social/digital media. Through my personal, professional and creative journeys, I learned my true passion is raw, beautiful storytelling and manifesting dreams. Not just my stories or dreams, but that of the collective consciousness. To imagine new realities and work toward creating them. I hope the art, writings and ideas we share here can delight or enlighten, or at the very least – inspire you to express all the multi-dimensions of your being, even if it’s only in doses.
